Switchboard

A switchboard is used for varying the connections between electrical systems in an installation or infrastructure.

It distributes the electrical energy during normal operational conditions.

With our partners and experienced engineers and technicians, SGIT has the capability to build, repair and retrofit low, medium and high voltage switchboards for oil & gas, offshore marine and renewable energy industries.

Ballast Control System

Ballast Control System enables marine vessel operators to use reliable informative data to manage the ballast and trim of a vessel critically and safely, according to operational needs, deck loading and sea conditions.

The operating control and data management system controls valves, pumps and monitoring tanks holding ballast, diesel oil, potable water, drill water, salt water, contaminated drain, bilge and other fluids.

Ballast control functions provides an easy interface between operator and equipment, as information is presented graphically to the operator.

Tank levels are shown both graphically and numerically, whilst audio-visual alarms are displayed in an alarm banner shown on selected screens and a separate alarm page.

The system can be supplied in its entirety or installed to utilize client’s existing valves, actuators, and tank sensing installations.

Variable Frequency Drive

A variable frequency drive (VFD) is a type of motor controller that drives an electric motor by varying the frequency and voltage of its power supply.

The VFD can be used to control ramp-up and ramp-down of the motor during start or stop, respectively.

SGIT designs, repairs and retrofits VFD controls and panels for oil and gas, offshore marine, and renewable energy industries, to integrate with the motors control and/or automation systems.

Our engineers are well trained and experienced. we can provide one-stop solution for design, supply, installation, commissioning and servicing or maintenance of the drive systems.

Any VFD issues can be resolved such that productivity is maximized, lifespan of motors and automation systems prolonged, and downtime is minimized.

Wärtsilä – Ballast Water Management System

The Wärtsilä Aquarius UV (Ultra-Violet) technology utilises proven filtration and UV irradiation, while maintaining a high degree of safety and operability. It retains its effectiveness regardless of the water quality.

The Wärtsilä Aquarius EC (Electro-Chlorination) system features a simple two-stage process involving filtration and electro-chlorination across the full scope of a ship’s operating and environmental conditions.

In addition to the USCG approvals, both technologies have also been awarded Type Approval by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

Wärtsilä’s dual technology offering provides the broadest range of BWMS solutions for fleet wide regulatory compliance.

Wärtsilä also supports its products, systems, and solutions with the marine industry’s most extensive global service network.
